My Cooking Goal

I have a new goal :)

To learn a new dish every week.

Yes.

I will go to the farmer's market every Sunday, buy what I need, and attempt to cook to the best of my ability. I'm getting old. My parent's work too hard, the least I can do is cook for them... Because I love them :)

(This is my new cookbook my boyfriend got me: Filipino Homestyle Dishes)

Dad always says "Your a lady, you learn to cook"... So far I've only learned a few: Adobo, Sinigang, Tinola, and Afritada... Your typical Filipino breakfast, corned beef, spam and egg breakfast, fresh tomatoes on the side. (My absolute favorite, which my boyfriend hates) :/ but he needs to stop taking me out to eat so I can learn to cook for myself.

As soon as I can get down the main dishes, I would like to learn Filipino desserts/bakery !!! Woo man! My mouth just waters thinking about it. MmMmmMmmm.

I'm excited!

Fasa's Day

Happy father's day. Ya know what? My dad may look mean with his bold piercing Berny Mac eyes o_O... He may be a little over protective with me, like perhaps pulling a gun out on boys -_-... He may be a bit off a dick on the phone when bullshitting people... But, he's great!

Great for supporting my dreams, from wanting to become a Real estate broker, to an Accountant, to a Dentist and now to a Pharmacist :)

Great for being the one to truly believe that I can do anything I put my heart into.

Great for being my guidance and protection, for making sure I keep my Filipino moral values of being a lady.

I love him!

So, today for Father's day, me and me brother Brian took my dad out to Happy Buffet. YAAAH! and then we went home and ate some more. :X

I got him his favorite cake from Goldilocks, Brazo de Mercedes. He would always buy me it as a kid when I'd be mad at him. Haha, memories of not talking to him for weeks, and him bringing this home. :)

Tough Week

I been pretty bummed out this week. I think I cried almost everyday so far :/

So, here was my shit list:
-Sunday: A good friend passed away.
-Monday: I received a 56% on a timed test (only got to finish about half of it).
-Tuesday: Mom opens my bank statements and yells at me.
-Wednesday: I'm just F'in emo today. Listening to old slow jams while studying. Why? I don't know. Just did I guess.

Despite all that, the only thing thats keeping me sane is being with the boyfriend. Unfortunately... He's always working, but it allows me to have the day to study and do things for myself, and after work we go out to eat.

I'm happy to end each day with a smile.

In Loving Memory of Paula Casem Felisilda

Sunday, I stopped by the hospital to see her one last time. I went to the evening mass at church, sent out a prayer to her family. I miss her joyful smile, her laugh, her singing at work. I'll never forget the advice she would always give me on love, work, and school... I only wish I had a chance to thank her and tell her how wonderful she was.






I trust and believe shes in a better place, God has a plan for all of us. Paula we love you! Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

I'm gaining some more of that "happy fat" again.

The other night I had a $70 dinner -_-

Sushi, lobster, crab, chocolate fondue, a crepe and tiramisu... Holly molly!

Pretty soon I'll be like coookie monster. "Yum nam mam mum!"

Mother's Day: I went to the farmer's market on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Checked out two in Milpitas, and Randall introduced me to the one in downtown Campbell (loved it!).

They say I've been MIA, I agree I been at home for a while! Memorial day weekend was my only holiday I get off for school. No summer break. WAH! Well thats it for now, thinking of going to school full time and quitting work o_O Update ya later! take care everyone.

I had family from Seattle Washington visit for the pacman weekend. I spent the day with my cousins and my brother at Leene's house, so it was my first Pacquiao fight without my dad. It was also John John's 20th birthday. We ate so much food and sang karaoke the whole night.

A Filipino holiday every time he fights! Glad he won, but it was too short. I did noticed a few things, he is now being sponsored by the Nike, and I got one of those shirts. It's no longer the target brand No Fear. He is improving on his speech :D I'm happy he has a better understanding of his interview questions. He remembered to thank everyone, not just "My countrymen" haha he now has a tons of fans all over the world not just in the PI. Next up is Mayweather.

My bab's birthday :) We ate at Chilli's with his mom, sister and cousins. Afterward we went to his cousin's house, she has a nice home :) wish to someday have the same. They have a beautiful salt water fish tank. It was huge! and it had little Nemo's, eel looking things, snails and what not. So cool! Then after that we went bar hopping in downtown San Jose. First went to a sake lounge, it was my first time trying sake bombs. Weird experience, not so much into beer, so it was different. It also happened to be Too Short's birthday also and he was out partying that night as well. Fun stuff:)
